SYDNEY - Dua objek besar yang kini menjadi lokasi tumpuan pencarian pesawat Malaysia Airlines (MAS) MH370 boleh jadi sebuah kontena yang terjatuh dari kapal kargo, menurut beberapa pakar.
Misi pencarian pesawat yang membawa 239 penumpang dan anak kapal itu diteruskan pada Jumaat selepas usaha mengesan dua objek yang dikesan pada Khamis atau sebarang serpihan pesawat gagal.
Malaysia dan Australia menyifatkan dua objek yang dirakamkan satelit di selatan Lautan Hindi sebagai ‘petunjuk kukuh’ dalam merungkai misteri kehilangan pesawat sejak 8 Mac lalu.
Dua objek itu yang masing-masing sepanjang 24 meter dan 5 meter dipercayai berada di kawasan sejauh 2,500km dari barat daya Perth.
Namun beberapa pakar bimbang dua objek tersebut tiada kaitan dengan pesawat MH370.
Seorang pakar penerbangan di Universiti New South Wales, Sydney memberitahu agensi berita Associated Press bahawa dua objek itu mungkin merupakan sebahagian kontena yang terjatuh dari kapal kargo di lautan itu.
Seorang lagi pakar, John Blaxland yang juga felo kanan di Pusat Kajian Strategik dan Pertahanan di Australian National University memberitahu CBC News bahawa dia turut mengesyaki objek itu adalah sebuah kontena.
“Agak sukar untuk menganalisis objek tersebut kerana imej itu dirakamkan empat hari lalu. Ini bermaksud imej tersebut mungkin hanyut ke lokasi lain,” katanya, lapor mStar.
